Keep calm and fight fire

For the first time ever, light integrate axes, air bottles, safety vests and many more firefighter equipments.

Light strip is a use of advanced photoluminescent pigments that are placed in various items for firefighter. This pigment can be suspended in different types of carriers such as high temperature grade silicone, epoxies and different types of things that are very high heat resistant and very heavy-duty giving them illumination for hours based on a very quick charge.
Some of the biggest risks that firefighter encounter is the lack of visibility, accountability of their tools and each other and then disorientation.

Robert Rielage, OH.

For Fire Marschal Robert Rielage, firefighter's safety using light strip products is really threefold.
Number one is if you are company officer and you are in a very low light environment, you can at least keep track of your crew by seeing the illuminated helmet bands or the illuminated tools that they are carrying and assist them. The tool itself may be what you need to extricate yourself or others from difficult situations and losing it in a very dark environment will most likely be like you never took it with you.
The third point for firefighter's safety is to know the way out and especially with secondary means of egress such as a ladder through a window. With a ladder painted with the eletroluminescent paint or the epoxy paint, hopefully the person will be able to see it once they get closer to the window and will know that this is the way out.

As smoke condition becomes worse, said Ltd Tom Grau, he said that they have to come closer to the ground and the visibility and ability to see a foot in front of them becomes more difficult. We tried to manufacture our turnout gear with striping on it that will help but when you hit smokey environments it no easy to determined what doesn't cut. One of the goods things with light strip product is that it requires no other lights and seems to do a good job of cutting through the smoke products ( without electricity power ) .

- "It is important to keep track of your tools just in case you do need them in certain circumstances, say if you're doing overhaul pulling ceiling lots of drywall is coming down on the ground and you set your tool down for a second and big pieces of drywall rubble comes down and your tool is covered." Taylor Wood, Wyoming Firefighter.
