In Bordeaux, storefronts with advertising installed on the scaffolding necessary for the execution of works, are permitted only in cities of over 10,000 inhabitants.
The light display advertising is temporary because it must end with the end of use of scaffolds and work. For installation, you must obtain permission from the county.
Lay to apply
An electroluminescent support used as advertising space must meet the following implantation conditions:
- not to be visible from a highway, a connecting ramp to a highway, expressway, a deviation of a highway located outside urban areas,
-not to exceed projections of more than 50 cm frame,
- be located more than 50 cm from the ground level,
- not be placed on a roof or a terrace,
- be placed more than 10 m of the bay from a neighboring house,
- contain an advertisement that does not exceed 50% of the total surface of a canvas, unless the work is to allow the building to get the energy label High performance renovation, says BBC renovation, in which case the county may authorize a display advertising a higher surface area.
Bordeaux Municipal authorization
An operator wishing to install an advertising tarpaulin construction must submit a prior authorization request (cerfa No. 14798 * 01) to the Bordeaux city county.
The request must be made in 3 copies by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt or filed against a dated receipt.
Some county may accept electronic transmission of the request, with electronic acknowledgment. It must specify:
-the nature of the work,
-the construction period and that of the advertising installation,
-the surface of the space and the advertising.
The time limit is 2 months. Without notification within this period, the authorization shall be deemed granted and the cover can be installed as it was presented in the application for authorization.
The authorization must specify the limits of the area devoted to display advertising.
Throughout the promotional period of use of the sheet, scaffolding, tarps or advertising device must be posted in a visible from the public road, the following information:
-the date and the number-law granting this authorization,
-the duration of the work and the installation of the advertising tarpaulin,
-the covering surfaces and advertising.
When replacing or modifying the construction tarp, on a previously authorized location, simply make a prior declaration in two copies, in county of Bordeaux (Gironde) using the form previously cited.
Special case of a historical monument
Permission to install an advertising medium electroluminescent placed on scaffolding restoration works of the facades of a historical monument must be obtained from the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs (DRAC), under the instruction of applications authorization or agreement to work on buildings listed or registered as historical monuments.
The application must be made by the client, with the agreement of the owner.
The authorization is granted under the following conditions:
all revenue collected by the owner of the monument for this display must be assigned by the owner to the financing of restoration work,
the surface of the advertising display to be less than 50% of the total surface of the sheet,
the display time should not exceed that of the use of scaffolding covered by tarpaulin,
display advertising should be positioned on the scaffold support itself, and not on the monument to prevent its degradation.
