Primary intrication¹

  • Bundesautobahn 99 is a highway located in southern Germany
  • Autobahn 99 measures 53.5 kilometers and bypasses the city of Munich
  • Construction of a motorway bypassing Munich was planned in 1938, but because of the Second World War, its construction was postponed
  • The sections were built from the north to the east of the city in the 1960s and 1970s

  • In an interview with the mayor of Munich Georg Kronawitter published in 1977, he wondered if the complete closure of the "ring" was necessary.
  • He then decreed that complete closure of the Autobahn 99 would not be possible before 2000
