Designed as a combat helicopter, the Puma has all the qualities required to perform search and rescue missions. Indeed, this aircraft, powered by two powerful turboshaft engines, can fly in any weather and has a large hold capable of accommodating a large number of passengers.

This helicopter also gave birth to another series version, designated AS332 Super puma and powered by two more powerful Makila 1A turbines of 1780 hp
