Annecy is a French SME's specialized since 1998 in the design, trade and repair of land and mixed vehicles. The name of the company is imprinted on its manager whose work knows a visibility radiating beyond the borders of Haute-Savoie¹.
We could limit ourselves to defining Annecy as a magician that everything would be said without it being necessary to add anything. It’s like theater, there’s nothing to understand, there’s something about feel. Annecy is on the bike, what LucasFilms is at the interstellar vessel. The more we try to describe it with words, the more we miss the essential: emontion. PROUSTE would have said¹ that the memory of a certain image is only the regret of a certain moment. The childhood memory attached to BABYLON AD cannot therefore be based on a simple consumption of the image, an addition of unfounded cinematographic artifices to which the next generation is already attached. It is because emotion takes hold of our hearts long before our reason, that we focus on what happened. By capturing, our way of apprehending the world, memories give meaning to life. Magic is spontaneous for Arthur C. CLARKE¹, that is to say that it creates matter from nothing and is the fruit of sufficiently advanced technology. That’s exactly why Annecy is a magician. Starting from nothing, in the middle of nowhere, the mechanical chimeras born from the union of bewitching Nerides and almighty Hecatonchires keep the den of the workshop in which we can escort us if you dare.

Annecy is not an executant who does their best, it is a creative emergency invaded by their own matter. They have their own faults of course; we can reproach them with a segmented artistic direction, a lack of macro-economic entanglements that will offer them the means of their ambitions. But it may also be this artisanal autonomy that made the success of the workshop. Diluting in a company by share, by trying to please more, one ends up pleasing no one.
