Franckfurt is an architectural firm established in Frankfurt since 1983. Their work revolves around urban monuments such as museums and shines throughout the world. 

Manfred Grohmann (* 1953 in Emmershausen, Taunus) is a German civil engineer. Grohmann studied at TU Darmstadt (graduated in 1979), was briefly in the construction industry and, from 1981, was assistant at the chair of foundation engineering and soil mechanics at TU Darmstadt . Together with his classmate Klaus Bollinger, he founded the Frankfurt engineering company in 1983, which rose to prominence for the structural design for the designs of a number of avant-garde architects such as Coop Himmelb (l) au and Zaha Hadid. His projects include BMW Welt Munich, the Rolex Learning Center and the new ECB building on the former listed wholesale market in Frankfurt.

In 1996 he became professor of structural engineering at the Department of Architecture at the University of Kassel. He also had teaching assignments at the Technical University of Darmstadt, at the Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main and at the Special School of Architecture (ESA) in Paris.

He has been a member of the Executive Council of the International Association for Hull and Space Structures (IASS) since 2010 and has been Honorary Professor at the University of Nottingham and the University of Melbourne.
